The electronic music industry lost another legendary figure this past weekend, after it was announced that Manchester-based producer Marcus Intalex aka Marcus Kaye had passed away. A long serving figure within the UK scene, the DnB legend’s cause of death is yet to be confirmed.
Being a master of crafting some of the genre’s most memorable tunes including ‘How You Make Me Feel‘ with ST Files, ‘Temperance‘, and ‘Universe‘, the Burnley-born act became an active part within the scene during the 90s and even led two of his own labels: Soul:r and Revolve:r. While his debut solo album β21β arrived in 2011 on his own Soul:r imprint, he also began experimenting with house and techno under his Trevino moniker which eventually saw him release on 3024, Hotflush Recordings, Klockworks and The Nothing Special.
Hailed as one of the greatest, several producers and fans from around the world including the likes of Andy C, Chase & Status and Skream took to Twitter to mourn the heartbreaking loss. Our thoughts are with Marcus’ friends and family.
