One of the longest standing and flagship act of Anjunadeep has been 16 Bit Lolitas aka Ariaan Olieroock and Peter Kriekand, hence it wouldn’t be a surprise to any fan of the label that these legends have been aptly brought back for label’s 300th release that is no less than pure work of art. In “Peninsula” EP, with the title track the duo have created a reminiscent vibe as that of their old time hits like ‘Beat Organ’ and ‘Nobody Seems To Care‘; a moody house cut which has been a highlight from ABGT 200 in Amsterdam. Following the progressive sounds of the first are the dreamy melodies of ‘Cipher’ which pair delicate keys alongside subtle flowing grooves.
While ‘Give It Up’ brings back a lot of Anjunadeep 08 vibe with its chugging dancefloor and blending spacey atmospherics, and an epic looping vocal sample above driving low end groove.
