Both deadmau5 and Kanye West might not be the biggest fans of each other, but that hasn’t stopped the ‘Monster’ rapper from appreciating one of mau5’s latest productions.
In a newly surfaced video, Kanye West and legendary hip hop producer Pete Rock can be heard listening to deadmau5’s ‘Snowcone’, from his latest album ‘W:/ALBUM2016’. Recent reports have confirmed that Kanye is working on a new album, ‘Turbo Grafx 16′, with Pete Rock post his release from the hospital, and it does raise a number of questions. The foremost ones being: ‘Are Kanye and Pete Rock sampling deadmau5 for a track on his upcoming album?’ and ‘Will Kanye and deadmau5 collaborate on the album?’
While the answer for the second question is pretty hard to answer, considering their Twitter beef in March earlier this year, a deadmau5 sample on Kanye’s album might be most feasible option possible at the moment, with ‘Snowcone’s‘ laidback trip hop sound setting a perfect base for Kanye to use. What’s more, even deadmau5 acknowledged Pete Rock on Twitter.
