New Delhi-based act Vridian has finally served up his latest EP, ‘Fragments‘ following a brief pause from action. With the ambitious project now set to be carried forward by Vir RC himself as its other half Siddhant Jain gears up for his next musical endeavour, the latest body of work released via Berlin-based label Nie Wieder Schlafen almost feels like a bittersweet moment which concludes their brilliant two-year old partnership.
Led by the EP’s title track, Vridian takes listeners on a memorable journey as we are graced by ethereal synth notes before being transported into a surreal soundscape by way of dissonant melodies, haunting vocal chants, and a deep, yet hard hitting arrangement which somehow manages to strike the perfect balance. Next comes his collaborative work with Siddhant on ‘Virtuous Pursuit‘ which carries on the path of blurring the lines between crafting dancefloor-ready moments and brooding, aural masterpieces.
Accompanied by two equally brilliant remixes courtesy Kotu and LADS for ‘Virtuous Pursuit‘ which sees them offer up an intelligent, yet club-ready take on the original, the proceedings are rounded up perfectly as the two acts build on the momentum respectively in fine fashion to finish off on a high note.
