“Curry chicken meets collard greens”. As you might have guessed by now, we’re indeed talking about New York-based rapper Anik Khan. Born in Dhaka, the South Asian-bred MC has quickly risen up the ranks to be recognised as one of today’s most exciting and innovative acts in the game. And come this October, the talented artist will be making his way to India for a 3-city tour.
Currently riding on the success of his recently released single, ‘Big Fax‘ which saw him spit fire at outdated immigrant stereotypes, albeit with a pinch of humour and irony, Anik Khan will be joined by the likes of famed Indian-American musician Monica Dogra, New Delhi-based DJ/promoter and founder of India’s very own online community radio boxout.fm, DJ MoCity, country capital’s rowdiest hip-hop duo Seedhe Maut, Full Power (Yungsta & Frappe Ash) and up and coming New Delhi-based rapper Sumit Roy who will be performing under his stage name Roy.
With Anik Khan set to kick off his tour in New Delhi on October 11th, the ‘Habibi‘ hitmaker will be then making his way to Bengaluru and Mumbai on October 12th and 13th respectively. What promises to be a memorable debut stint for Anik Khan in the Indian sub-continent, get ready for a power packed performance from the man himself.
