Marshmello has finally released his highly awaited collaboration with late American rapper Lil Peep. Titled ‘Spotlight‘, the track was initially announced by the famed producer back in December 2017 following Peep’s tragic death. Having paid his respects to the late star earlier, their brand new joint effort arrives as a spectacular gesture from the ‘Wolves‘ hitmaker. A mellow jam which boasts of an easy going instrumental courtesy Marshmello, Lil Peep’s signature vocals glide through smoothly for what makes up for a memorable offering from the two acts.
Talking about ‘Spotlight‘, Marshmello said in a statement:
“Peep brought an excitement to music that was unparalleled to anybody I’ve ever met. We started an idea together, that unfortunately we were never able to officially finish together. When I listen to this track now I get chills wishing he could hear it. This record is dedicated to Peep’s mother, family, friends and his fans. Gus will live forever through his music and that is something we should all be extremely thankful for.”
