This past Sunday, the 45th annual American Music Awards took place at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles! While the star-studded ceremony saw the likes of Bruno Mars, Drake, Kendrick Lamar and more bag awards in their respective fields, the dance music community had its eyes on The Chainsmokers who were nominated in five categories. At the end of the night, the famed duo took home the award for the Best Electronic Dance Music Act which saw them beat out the likes of Calvin Harris and DJ Snake.

Additionally, the AMAs also witnessed live performances from some of dance music’s biggest names including Alesso and Zedd who performed their respective hits ‘Let Me Go‘ and ‘Stay‘. But it was Selena Gomez and Marshmello‘s debut live performance of their latest collaboration ‘Wolves‘ which stole the spotlight and how!
