Bengaluru-Based Label Juicebox Music Share The First Chapter Of Their Brand New Compilation, ‘Tales of Time’

ELM & Re:Voyage High Tide

Earlier this month, Bengaluru-based label Juicebox Music chartered into the deeper realm of electronic music with the release of their brand new compilation series, ‘Tales Of Time‘ which aims to curate the rich sounds of ambient, experimental & downtempo music. And with the arrival of Chapter 1, listeners were presented with nine stellar cuts, each with its own sonic tale to tell.

Moreover, Juicebox’s latest venture turns out to be a truly global affair as it packs in an unmissable opener, ‘Hummingbird‘ by Australian talent Eric Lune, followed by ethereal contributions from the likes of Dutch act Maurice Caron (‘Saint John‘) and Sri Lankan boys Dimuth K and Joel Fernando (‘Manu‘). Next comes the intricately crafted ‘Overlook‘ courtesy the label head Praveen Achary which pulls off a brilliant four-minute session of a sensory story that presents the next phase of the proceedings.

High Tide‘ by Re:Voyage and ELM (Siddhant Jain, formerly one half of Vridian) has a profound effect whose minimal, yet thrilling mix of somber melodies and subtle percussion makes up for a prolific experience. As DNYO and Nishan Lee join in on the action, their respective creations ‘Little Samurai‘ and ‘Futuristic Utopias‘ create intrigue in its minimalism. With the arrival of Goan talent Greenage‘s ‘Undying Devotion of Life‘, we enter the final stretch as the track’s stirring cinematic progression oscillates between the light and the dark throughout its seven and a half minute long journey. Come ‘The Deviant‘, Argentinian talent Partenaire brings Chapter 1 to an enigmatic close, which witnesses a steady influx of emotions till the very end, that often feels overwhelming, though never jarring.
