2017 lived up as one of the best years for electronic music till date! And with the triumphant year done and dusted, we at Bangin Beats have already begun gearing up for 2018. With a string of album releases looming on the horizon courtesy some of our favourite acts, head down below and get to know which artists you should be looking forward to in the coming months!
Nucleya
India’s very own bass music kingpin, Nucleya has satiated his passionate fans’ hunger for new music in recent years with the release of two highly acclaimed albums. And while 2017 failed to reap a studio LP from Udyan Sagar, the ‘Laung Gawacha‘ hitmaker has been constantly working on the follow-up to his 2016-released ‘Raja Baja‘. With all eyes now on Nucleya, stick around as one of the country’s biggest dance music acts gets ready to drop some lethal bass bombs in 2018.
Anish Sood
This man needs no introduction. And rightfully so, this fine Indian talent has managed to keep listeners on their toes for almost a decade! Yes, we’re talking about Anish Sood whose debut studio album ‘Future Perfect‘ is all set to arrive in February 2018. Having already shared its first single ‘Starry Night‘, the highly awaited LP promises to embraces pop, funk, disco and techno elements.
Ritviz
Pune-based producer/DJ Ritviz has shown signs of becoming one of India’s biggest dance acts since early on in his career. And if his mammoth ‘YUV‘ EP in 2016 sparked a fire, then his forthcoming album due out this year is poised to slingshot him to the upper echelon of dance music acts in the country. Riding high on the success of his recently released single ‘Udd Gaye‘, make sure to keep an eye out for Ritviz.
RL Grime
Trap music lord RL Grime sent fans into a frenzy in 2017 with a string of releases which included ‘Reims‘, ‘Stay For It‘ featuring Miguel and ‘Era‘. With the timely arrival of his annual Halloween Mix last year, the trap community is now all geared up for the highly anticipated follow up to his groundbreaking debut album ‘Void‘. Titled ‘Nova‘, further information regarding its release continues to be scarce. But fret not, because RL will be coming out all guns blazing once again to justify his position as one of trap’s greatest!
Above & Beyond
Unarguably, one of dance music’s most loved trios, Above & Beyond have blessed fans around the world with their ethereal creations and performances for almost two decades! Comprised of Jono Grant, Tony McGuinness, and Paavo Siljamäki, the Anjunabeats founders are now looking to deliver their sixth studio album in the form of ‘Common Ground‘. Set to arrive on January 26, their brand new LP has already secured its spot as one of the most anticipated releases of 2018.
Major Lazer
Major Lazer might have not released the successor to ‘Peace Is The Mission‘ in 2017, but the hype surrounding the dancehall trio’s star power has only gone on to grow bigger in the past twelve months! With the surprise release of their ‘Know No Better‘ EP in June last year which saw them team up with the likes of Travi$ Scott, Camilla Cabello, Anitta, J Balvin and more, fans continue to keep an eye out for ‘Music Is The Weapon’ due out in 2018.
Skrillex
Skrillex‘s debut album ‘Recess‘ took over the dance music world by storm back in 2014! And nearly four years later, the OWSLA bossman is yet to release an EP or an album. But everything’s about to change, thanks to a tip by Diplo during a recent interview which stated that Sonny Moore is working on his sophomore album. With a relatively quiet 2017 in his bag, which saw him produce for other artists alongside releasing a numbers of collaborations, all eyes are on Skrillex to make his next big move in 2018!
Steve Angello
Swedish mastermind Steve Angello returned to production duties in 2017 with a three-part roll out of his highly awaited sophomore album ‘Human‘. Having already been treated to ‘Genesis‘, ‘Inferno‘ and ‘Paradise‘, longtime fans are now waiting for the arrival of one of SIZE bossman’s most ambitious works till date.
Alison Wonderland
One of Australia’s hottest dance music exports, Alison Wonderland has been in hot form since the release of her debut album ‘Run’ in 2015! Showing no signs of slowing down, the bass music behemoth is now looking to dominate 2018 with her sophomore LP, due out this year. Having already treated her listeners to singles ‘Messiah’ and ‘Happy Place’, make sure to watch out for AW as she gets ready to take us on a ride!
Dillon Francis
Before putting an end to 2017, Dillon Francis got his fans hyped up for his forthcoming album with a single tweet! Having previously revealed that his sophomore LP is going to be in Spanish, the IDGAFOS hitmaker managed to keep his fans busy throughout 2017 with the release of singles like ‘Say Less’ with G-Eazy, ‘Hello There’ with Yung Pinch and a bunch of other remixes for the likes of J Balvin, Miley Cyrus and more. With moombahton season fast approaching, get ready for a proper dose from one of the genre’s finest in 2018.

Madeon
Apart from the Shelter Tour, Madeon relatively maintained radio silence with his fans throughout 2017. Having dazzled fans with the release of his collaboration with Porter Robinson and his debut album ‘Adventure‘, the French producer is now looking to make a highly awaited return. Having previously hinted at treating fans to the next era in 2018, we’ll be (im)patiently waiting for the eclectic act to dish out new music in the coming months.
