Indian Producer Sandunes To Open For Bonobo At The Manchester International Festival

As Indian artists continue making strides internationally, yet another name from the electronic music scene has joined the club after scoring a gig to open for one of the finest acts in electronic music right now.

Mumbai based musician Sanaya Ardeshir aka Sandunes is all set to open for the electronica maestro Bonobo at the Manchester International Festival on the 4th of July. With an impressive list of gigs under her belt, which also includes playing the first ever edition of Boiler Room x Budweiser in Mumbai, Sanaya is undeniably a force to be reckoned with in the country’s electronic music scene. Speaking to Homegrown regarding the opportunity to open for Bonobo, she said:

It feels completely insane. Even though it’s been an aspiration to keep moving towards my favourite artists this one has been a bit hard to believe and has left me feeling truly grateful and also slightly terrified. I found out in an email which I re-read about 5 times while lying on the floor in a bit of a sweat, to be honest.

Set to take place at the Manchester Cathedral, the show will be a one off intimate live show by the British producer, and is already sold out. You can follow the festival’s website for more details.
