Sweden Is Planning A Male Free Festival After Numerous Reports Of Sexual Assault

Sweden Man Free Festival

In light of recent events that have been occurring in Sweden, it looks like the country is now looking forward to organize man-free festivals in the near future. With Bråvalla Festival having already announced the cancellation of their 2018 edition after multiple cases of rape and sexual assaults were reported during this year’s fixture, an extreme solution like this is being considered to provide a safer environment for female participants.

Talking about the grave situation at hand, radio presenter and comedian Emma Knyckare recently talked about her plans to organize a festival where only women are allowed. Taking the conversation to Twitter, she also said the proposed festival would take place “until ALL men have learned how to behave themselves.” Moreover, she further added that she hopes to “bring together a solid group of talented organizers and project leaders” in the coming days to make it happen.

And with the idea of the whole concept not being entirely new, Glastonbury Festival already managed to introduce an area called The Sisterhood back in 2016 which was open to “all people who identify as women.
