Sub Z – Breach [EP]

Sub Z Breach

2018 seems like a good year to be a bass music fan in the country. Led by the current homegrown wave of up and coming talents who have been constantly impressing listeners with their eclectic and supremely innovative take on the genre, one such outfit that has taken it upon themselves to introduce the Indian audience to the sounds of dubstep, jungle, grime and beyond, is New Delhi-based collective, Sub Z.

Renowned for testing the boundaries of bass music with each opportunity at hand and their one of a kind Bassmndi parties, the rising outfit has now surfaced again with the release of their debut EP, ‘Breach‘. Featuring contributions by four of their own members, the floor shattering compilation arrives as an exceptional body of work for bass music fans to savour.

Led by Stain‘s frenetic, tribal-inspired production work which finds home on the EP opener, ‘Bounded‘, the proceedings get all the more interesting as Miredo hits home once again with his wonky, yet experimental punch in the face on ‘Scar‘. What follows next is Tanzen‘s chaotic ‘B.M.T.B.C‘, which albeit brief, goes on to deliver a head spinning, trailblazing ride into his own world. Lastly, Npstr finishes off on a high with the aptly titled ‘Genesis‘ as the wild, percussive-heavy effort goes on to round up the formation of Sub Z’s epic debut.
