Twisted Metal Season 2 Teaser, Details, and Summer 2025 Release Window Revealed

Peacock Unveils Plans for Twisted Metal Season 2

Peacock has recently shared exciting updates about the upcoming second season of Twisted Metal, including a sneak peek trailer, new information about the series, and an official release date targeted for the summer of 2025.

Twisted Metal, featuring stars Anthony Mackie and Stephanie Beatriz, is a television adaptation of the iconic PlayStation game series. The show quickly became one of Peacock’s leading original series after its first season was heralded as the platform’s “most-binged” comedy debut in 2023.

With Season 2 on the horizon, the anticipation builds. Here’s what to expect:

In the aftermath of Season 1’s cliffhanger finale, characters John and Quiet are thrust into the perilous Twisted Metal tournament. This deadly event, orchestrated by the enigmatic Calypso, pits participants against a barrage of lethal adversaries, including the infamous killer clown Sweet Tooth. The plot thickens for John as he encounters his estranged sister, the vigilante known as Dollface, adding more personal stakes to the already dangerous competition.

Additionally, in March of the previous year, there were reports that Sony had scrapped plans for a Twisted Metal live-service video game amidst widespread layoffs. Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier revealed that the project was in its early stages at the UK-based Firesprite studio, which was also impacted by the layoffs. The game had not yet received the official go-ahead.

The Twisted Metal franchise, known for its intense vehicle combat gameplay, started on the PS1 and hasn’t seen a new installment since the era of the PlayStation 3.
