The second season of Twisted Metal is set to premiere on Peacock this week, building on the high-energy action that defined its first season. Stephanie Beatriz, portraying the character Quiet, has promised that the new season will deliver action sequences that are even more extreme and perfectly fitting for the Twisted Metal series. She also hinted at a particularly memorable episode in Season 2 involving a heist where her character spends a day without clothes.
“In the first season, we featured about three major action-packed episodes,” Beatriz shared in a media roundtable hosted by GameSpot, which took place during a visit to the Twisted Metal set in Toronto. “This season, I’d say we’ve got around five or six. The stunt work is truly wild this time. We’re doing a lot more practical stunts, spending more time in vehicles, and you’ll see a lot more of Quiet behind the wheel.”
A Notable Heist Episode
Beatriz, previously known for her role as Detective Rosa Diaz on NBC’s Brooklyn Nine-Nine, recalled the iconic Halloween heist episodes from that series. She assures that while the heist in Twisted Metal Season 2 is entirely unique, it promises to be an “absolutely manic, ridiculously over-the-top, crazy episode.” “It’s hard to even put into words,” she exclaimed.

“Let me put it this way: there was a stretch of about a day and a half where I was mostly unclothed,” she continued. “There were explosions, a corridor ablaze, and scenes of me dashing through mostly deserted buildings, dodging missiles. It was complete chaos.”
The overarching story of Season 2 revolves around a vehicle combat tournament orchestrated by Calypso (played by Anthony Carrigan). Before this brutal competition begins, Quiet and the other contestants are seen doing whatever it takes to enhance their vehicles with the best upgrades possible. In a world ravaged by apocalypse, theft becomes a viable strategy for survival.
“You want your vehicle to be battle-ready at all times. But if you’re broke, how do you arm it? The answer is simple: you steal,” Beatriz explained.
Twisted Metal Season 2 is set to launch on July 31 on Peacock.
Sony Pictures Television covered the costs for GameSpot’s travel and accommodations in Toronto for the set visit and interviews with the cast and crew of Twisted Metal Season 2.
