Sweet Tooth And The Gang Return In First Look At Twisted Metal Season 2

Celebrating 30 Years of Twisted Metal with Season 2 of the TV Series

This year is particularly special for Twisted Metal fans as it marks three decades since the launch of the iconic PlayStation 1 game. In celebration, the Twisted Metal television series is set to launch its second season in 2025 on Peacock. The network recently unveiled a sneak peek of the upcoming season, featuring Anthony Mackie as John Doe. In the preview, John briefly recaps the events of the first season and hints at the intense car combat that awaits viewers.

In the teaser, John keeps the focus on major developments rather than delving into minutiae. He touches upon his burgeoning relationship with Quiet, portrayed by Stephanie Beatriz, and their encounters with the infamous clown Sweet Tooth. Voiced by Will Arnett and brought to life by ex-AEW World champion Joe Seanoa, also known as Samoa Joe, Sweet Tooth remains a pivotal character. This season, a significant plot twist awaits John as he meets Dollface, his sister who has been missing for a long time.

The trailer also introduces viewers to Anthony Carrigan, who plays Calypso, the mastermind of the Twisted Metal tournament. Carrigan, known for his role as NoHo Hank in HBO’s Barry, sports a surprisingly full head of hair in his new role, contrasting his previous bald look. The footage further teases the challenges that John and Quiet will face against other drivers in their quest for the ultimate prize.

Michael Jonathan Smith, the showrunner of Twisted Metal, described the upcoming season as “fast-paced, hysterical, and thrilling,” filled with memorable characters. However, he ominously added that “not all of them will survive.” This statement has certainly set the stage for high stakes and intense action.

Newcomers to the series this season include Richard de Klerk, Patty Guggenheim, and Tiana Okoye, though their roles have not yet been disclosed. Fans can look forward to the premiere of Twisted Metal Season 2 on Peacock this summer.
