Twisted Metal Season 2 Clip Finally Brings The Games' Car Carnage

The inaugural season of Twisted Metal did not showcase the iconic vehicular combat tournament that the video game series is renowned for. However, the forthcoming Season 2 promises to change all that. A freshly released scene from Season 2 marks the grand commencement of the Twisted Metal tournament, and it’s nothing short of spectacular.

While Anthony Mackie, portraying John Doe, may headline the show, it’s the character Sweet Tooth, a deranged clown driving an ice cream truck, who steals the spotlight. Sweet Tooth is brought to life by AEW wrestler Joe “Samoa Joe” Seanoa, with his voice provided by Will Arnett. In the scene linked above, we see Sweet Tooth’s sidekick setting his head ablaze, psyching him up for the impending combat.

In the same preview, we see John Doe’s ally, Quiet, played by Stephanie Beatriz, accompanying him, unlike the other contenders who are fiercely independent. Several drivers don’t even manage to exit the hangar before the chaos and gunfire erupt.

The mastermind behind this brutal tournament is Calypso, portrayed by Anthony Carrigan from Barry. Calypso has vowed to grant the tournament victor any wish of their choosing—a bold claim that remains to be fulfilled.

Joining the ensemble this season is Tiana Okoye as John’s sister Dollface, alongside Lisa Gilroy as Vermin, Patty Guggenheim as Raven, Saylor Bell Curda as Mayhem, and Richard de Klerk as Mr. Grimm.

Season 2 of Twisted Metal is set to make its debut on the Peacock streaming service on July 31.
