King of the Hill Season 16 and 17 Confirmed With 20-Episode Order

Hulu has announced the continuation of King of the Hill, confirming the series for Seasons 16 and 17 with a package of 20 episodes each. This follows the series’ revival in January 2023, which also began with a 20-episode season.

The 14th season of the show debuted on Monday, August 4, and quickly secured the second spot on Nielsen’s Overall Top 10 Streaming chart. Cumulatively, the series has amassed over 1 billion hours of viewership worldwide on platforms like Hulu and Disney+.

The 15th season is set to premiere on Hulu, as well as on the Hulu and Disney+ bundle in the U.S., and will be available on Disney+ for international viewers sometime in 2026.

The decision to bring back King of the Hill 15 years after its original finale has proven to be a success, though it was not without risks. Notably, some of the original voice actors have died, with some passing before and some after the production of Season 14. The United States has undergone significant changes, a transformation that is not lost on the show’s protagonist, Hank Hill, especially after his return from Saudi Arabia at the beginning of Season 14. The show has adapted with a time skip, showing characters like Bobby experiencing substantial growth and changes. Despite these challenges, creators Mike Judge and Greg Daniels successfully revitalized the series, setting a positive stage for the upcoming seasons.
