HBO has unveiled a new preview for the upcoming episodes of The Last of Us Season 2, revealing exciting developments in the dystopian series. This latest trailer is packed with spoilers for the forthcoming events.

In the newly released footage, viewers are treated to a moment where Joel (played by Pedro Pascal) presents Ellie (portrayed by Bella Ramsey) with her iconic guitar. Additional clips show deeper interactions between Joel and his therapist Gail (acted by Catherine O’Hara), and provide insights into Abby’s (Kaitlyn Dever) quest for vengeance against Joel. The trailer also features a gripping exchange involving Isaac (Jeffrey Wright) and includes numerous scenes depicting swarms of infected.

While it appears some scenes in the trailer might be from Episode 2, the video is labeled “Weeks Ahead,” suggesting it could also include snippets from later episodes. It has been confirmed that Season 2 of The Last of Us will consist of seven episodes in total.

An additional video from HBO offers an exclusive behind-the-scenes glance at the first episode of Season 2. This extra content delves into various aspects such as the reasons behind Joel’s therapy sessions, the introduction and motivations of Abby, the dynamics between Ellie and Dina (Isabela Merced), and the emergence of a new type of infected. Like the previous trailer, this video is also filled with spoilers.

New episodes of The Last of Us are broadcast on Sundays at 6 PM PT / 9 PM ET. Fans of the series will be pleased to know that the show has been renewed for a third season, indicating that the storyline of The Last of Us: Part II will continue to unfold beyond the second season.
