UPDATE: Following the last moment cancellation of David Guetta‘s solo headlining show in Mumbai today, Sunburn Festival have been quick to announce that the concert has been successfully rescheduled for Sunday, 15th January 2017. Set to take place at Jio Gardens, BKC, the event will take place from 11 am – 4pm.
Moreover, with the shows in Hyderabad and Delhi set to go on as planned, Harindra Singh, Managing Director & Chairman, Percept Limited said in a press statement:
“We regret the cancellation of the Sunburn Arena with David Guetta this evening. We are happy to add that we have succeeded to reschedule the event for Sunday, January 15th 2017 between 1100 hrs – 1600 hrs at the same venue i.e. Jio Gardens, BKC. We are complying with all the regulatory requirements as prescribed by the authorities. The current tickets will be valid for the rescheduled show on Sunday. We regret any inconvenience caused and are grateful to all our fans for their love and support. We would like to thank David Guetta, his team and also all the regulatory bodies for their support and agreeing to reschedule the show at such short notice.”

What a sad affair it is turning out to be! Following the cancellation of David Guetta‘s Bengaluru leg of his ongoing India Tour, his Mumbai show slated to take place today is witnessing a similar outcome.
In a series of recent tweets by Mumbai Police, they detailed out the entire ordeal saying that the organizers failed to submit required safety and security plans and other necessary requirements for the concert which has ultimately resulted in its consequent cancellation. While the department has cited security reasons, an official announcement by Sunburn Festival has also been made.
