With a heavy heart, we express immense sorrow to bring you news that, Tanner Seebaum aka DJ Seebaum passed away this morning, July 12th 2013 after a long fight with brain cancer at the age of 16. The Colorado resident overcame hearing loss in one ear and damaged vision and equilibrium due to aggressive brain cancer, to pursue his dream and passion of DJing.

Seebaum had recently returned from a very special trip to Las Vegas, where he preformed at the R3hab Pool Party at the Hard Rock Hotel during EDC Week. Unfortunately, just a few short weeks after living this dream, the talented DJ passed away.

DJ Seebaum was a true inspiration, whose story encapsulates the power of a passion for dance music. He pushed pass umpteen obstacles in pursuit of his dream, all the way to the end and in what many would consider an uncontrollable situation where one would simply accept defeat, he fought to the very end and with the help of pillars of support in his life and in the dance music community he was able to live his dream.

We extend our deepest condolences to the friends, fans and family of DJ Seebaum. His Facebook page will be left open to pay tribute and honour this courageous and inspirational young man. Here’s to a true hero of dance music.
