Armin van Buuren gets set to launch a new label dedicated to the faster side of trance music.

Lately the current musical scenario has seen some noted trance producers abandon the harder and faster forms of the genre for the more accessible & popular, “trouse” intersections with the modern dance music sound.

While Armin van Buuren‘s sound has similarly shifted over the years, he recently announced his intention to provide a new home for tracks embodying the uplifting sound of yesteryears.

Dubbed “Who’s Afraid of 138?!”, the titan’s new imprint initially found its footing as an inside joke on his ‘A State of Trance‘ radio show before blossoming into one of the most popular areas at ASOT 600′s Den Bosch performance.

The label promises to showcase a number of overlooked but talented artists, with forthcoming releases from the likes of Photographer, Andrew Rayel & Alexandre Bergheau and John O’Callaghan.
