This year’s MTV VMA nominations are here and if they are any indication to go by, dance music is rapidly beginning to find its place in the pool of mainstream media. In the last few years similar nominations have been heralded as major accomplishments and milestones, but in 2013 the shock is beginning to wear off.

Although DJ’s are by no means dominating the VMA nominations out and out, their presence is a lot more profound  than in the past. Zedd, A-Trak & Tommy Trash, Skrillex, and Calvin Harris have all garnered nominations, which you can view in full below.
