Afrojack is back with ‘GotDrop (Hypebeat)’, leaving fans wondering if the trolling is still going strong!

From a comment at the EDMBiz conference in Vegas to another comment which followed on social media, which then led to SoundCloud trolling this episode has seen it all, but now fans have been left confused if the troll is still on. Read ahead for a complete round up of the entire episode until now and tell us what do you think!

When Dutch superstar Afrojack went on to comment at the EDMBiz conference in Las Vegas, “If you make good music, you succeed; if you don’t, you won’t”, he probably wasn’t counting on a Deadmau5 rebuke. The man behind Deadmau5, Joel Zimmerman argued that “good” is code for formulaic.

Ever since, both producers had taken to their respective SoundCloud accounts for a bout of trolling. “In the spirit of keeping up with the evolution of EDM, should be good to be charting again! EDC here I come!”, Deadmau5 tweeted before revealing “Drop Da Bomb (Outerspace Mix)“, a crude 46-second parody of maximal mainstage fodder.

Afrojack, in turn, uploaded his own dig at those cinematic studio experiments Deadmau5 indulges in, titled “Something_” in a hasty, off-hand sort of style.

Now Afrojack has delivered “GotDrop? (Hypebeat)”, which he prefaced with the message, “Started this yesterday, not done yet”.

By this stage, the man’s SoundCloud horde isn’t quite sure what’s going on. Is this track a real Afrojack work-in-progress? A message to the world that he can make EDM hits on auto-pilot?
