One half of Knife Party and Pendulum famed Rob Swire follows the footsteps of Feed Me to quit DJing and focus on producing/music writing. Fed up from his busy schedule, touring and not being able to devote time to music making, Rob Swire takes twitter to let the world know that he’ll be taking 6 months off from playing live starting next year to concentrate on what he loves most i.e. producing music, his hobby. He expresses that “not having the time to write music anymore is…so…depressing.” Whether or not this trend continues to pervade for more and more touring DJs with tough road lives and schedules remains to be seen; for some it seem to be a bad thing as they’ll not be able to see their favorite artist live but as far as we consider artist devoting time for making music is not a bad thing.
