It’s that time of the year again when all eyes are on the big unveil of the nominees for the annual Grammy Awards! Earlier last night, we finally got our hands on the full nominations list for the 60th Annual Grammy Awards which is set to take place on January 28, 2018 at Madison Square Garden, New York.
With Jay-Z leading the pack with 8 nominations under his belt, Kendrick Lamar and Bruno Mars are trailing not too far behind with seven and six nods each. For Record Of The Year, fans will see the likes of Childish Gambino, Luis Fonsi & Daddy Yankee, Jay-Z, Kendrick Lamar and Bruno Mars fight it out, while Album Of The Year is surely going to be the category to watch out for. In the electronic music world, ODESZA, Bonobo, LCD Soundsystem, Camelphat & Elderbrook and Gorillaz have been nominated for the Best Dance Recording. And for the Best Dance/Electronic Album prize, Bonobo leads the pack with his latest album ‘Migration‘ alongside Kraftwerk, Mura Masa, ODESZA and indie dance duo Sylvan Esso.
For the Best Remixed Recording category, Four Tet, Adventure Club, Louie Vega, SMLE and Latroit have been announced as the respected nominees. When it comes to some of dance music’s bigger names, The Chainsmokers and Zedd have bagged a single mention for the Best Pop Duo/Group Performance courtesy their respective hits, ‘Something Just Like This‘ with Coldplay and ‘Stay‘ with Alesia Cara. And lastly, Calvin Harris, albeit having not made it to any other category is in the running for the Producer Of The Year award.
