Diplo Reveals What’s Really Going On With Jack Ü

Jack Ü

In the midst of his Australian tour, Diplo sat down for a Q&A session in Sydney, where he spoke about a number of things, ranging from his record label to marketing music correctly. One of the most important questions during the Q&A was if there would be more releases from Jack Ü, Diplo‘s side project with Skrillex.

Now if you remember, recent speculation from a couple of months ago pointed to the fact that there might be a fallout between Skrillex and Diplo. With a lot more conspiracy theories going around the internet, Diplo did put an end to the rumours in an interview with Zane Lowe, saying that he would be solely focusing on Major Lazer for the foreseeable future. When asked if there will be any future releases from Jack Ü, Diplo said:

Hopefully. Right now I’m just doing a lot of new Major Lazer stuff and Diplo stuff. The thing with Jack Ü is complicated, because of Atlantic. Skrillex is signed to that label and it’s difficult to do anything with that. I hate major labels, so I don’t really want to do anything with major labels. So it’s hard.

So there you have it. There’s no bad blood between Diplo and Skrillex, and new music from Jack Ü might not be a distant dream for the fans.
