Progressive House maniac Jeremy Olander is back on his label with yet another classic two-tracker EP that is no less than a true testament to his immense production talent and almost unearthly consistency in all disciplines of timeless electronic music. Called as “Damon”, the EP starts off with title track that brings in a sinister and mysterious groove with a lead melody that sounds like it’s taken straight out of 90s horror film. The contrast that Olander sets against a euphoric atmosphere and his warm, spacey FX elements is all magical in its own way.
Second on the EP and a regular in Olander’s sets lately is fan favourite ‘Billinghurst’ that kicks off in an entirely opposite side of the spectrum. A dreamy, melodic and simply vintage tune that truly pays homage to the late 90s melodic house era at its peak with a deep breakdown, long suspenseful build and an exultant yet sophisticated drop.
