Daft Punk Bag Their First Billboard #1 Hit With The Weeknd Collaboration, "Starboy"

It’s been 3 months since The Weeknd and Daft Punk‘s collaborative single ‘Starboy‘ made its debut, and immediately found its way to numerous playlists and charts across the world. 14 weeks later, the single has finally claimed the #1 spot on Bilboard’s Hot 100 chart.

While it is The Weeknd‘s third #1 on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart after ‘I Can’t Feel My Face‘ and ‘The Hills‘, Daft Punk finally managed to get their first ever #1 hit, having peaked at #2 with ‘Get Lucky‘ in 2013. The French duo made their debut on the charts back in 1997 with ‘Around The World‘ at #61, and 19 years later the French House connoisseurs have finally achieved the much deserved #1 spot.
