Avicii ft. Adam Lambert & Nile Rodgers – Lay Me Down [Preview]

Just when you thought that Avicii was done with all the experimenting, he ends up delivering another classic in his upcoming single “Lay Me Down”. This track will be part of his forthcoming album “True” coming out on September 17th.

Through “Wake Me Up” Tim showed us how dance music can easily embrace country music and now with “Lay Me Down” he has decided to take up the challenge of bringing the theme of disco (yes disco!) music back.

Featuring vocals from American Idol’s runner-up Adam Lambert and instrumental support from disco legend Nile Rodgers, the track has an exceptional feel about it. Rodgers brilliant guitar skills give “Lay Me Down” a strong ‘70’s vibe. The funky electro beats also provide a great backing to Lambert’s vocals.

Overall, the track again proves that Avicii’s album “True” will surely be setting a new benchmark for artist’s trying something different in their music.

While describing the album, Tim perfectly sums it up by saying that “It’s kind of all over the place. It’s a fusion, but when you listen to the whole album it makes sense. It sounds like it’s going to be weird, but the final product is what I got so excited about. Once I started making these tracks I realized that it works.”

#TRUE that.
