The much awaited Steve Aoki – Linkin Park collaboration is finally here. After teasing fans with snippets of the single through live shows (Steve Aoki played the track, mashed up with two other songs during a show in Chicago), and Instagram previews, the track is up on Ultra Music‘s YouTube channel.
Titled ‘Darker Than The Blood‘, the track features gritty electro beats, layered vocals by both Chester Bennington and Mike Shinoda, vibrant snyth arpeggios, leading towards the breakdown, which isn’t the “conventional EDM style drop” we’ve come to expect from Aoki’s productions. Instead, this breakdown is more melodically driven, with darker connotations. The track is pre-dominantly Steve Aoki, with subtle hints of Linkin Park‘s musical style thrown in, unlike their previous collaboration ‘A Light That Never Comes‘, which was more heavier and aggressive. The single will be feauted on Steve Aoki‘s upcoming album Neon Future II.
