The Lord of the Rings Trilogy on 4K Blu-ray – Limited Edition Steelbook
The upcoming standalone 4K Blu-ray release of “The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King” is now available for pre-order at Walmart and Amazon, priced at $30, down from its original $35. Previously, Amazon had increased the price to $53, but it has since adjusted to match Walmart’s offer. This addition will complete the 4K Steelbook set which already includes “The Fellowship of the Ring” and “The Two Towers”, both of which were released earlier and are currently offered at $28 each. Fans of Peter Jackson’s exceptional film series can now purchase the entire trilogy in matching collectible editions for a total of $86.

Purchasing these Steelbook editions individually rather than as part of the previously available box set, which retailed for $170, represents a significant saving. Although the individual purchases do not include the metal display box featured in the full collection, they do come with digital versions of the movies that can be added to your Movies Anywhere collection.
For those yet to experience the films in 4K Blu-ray, each movie, including the entire “Hobbit Trilogy”, showcases stunning visuals enhanced by Dolby Vision and HDR10, with sound options including Dolby Atmos and Dolby TrueHD 7.1 surround sound.
In North America, these are the sole standalone 4K Blu-ray editions of “The Fellowship of the Ring” and “The Two Towers”. Typically, Jackson’s adaptations are released as trilogy sets.
