The latest trailer for Season 2 of Gen V was unveiled at the 2025 San Diego Comic-Con.
Scheduled to debut on September 17 on Prime Video, the first three episodes of this The Boys spinoff have been eagerly anticipated. The fresh trailer features several familiar faces beloved by fans of the original series known for its bold take on anti-hero narratives.
This new season promises “crucial developments and shocking twists that will lead directly into the climactic finale of The Boys,” according to Prime Video. Familiar characters such as Starlight (Erin Moriarty), Black Noir (Nathan Mitchell), and The Deep (Chace Crawford) make appearances in the trailer, hinting at their significant roles in the upcoming season.

In an exciting update, Ethan Slater, known for his role as Boq in Wicked, joins the cast as Thomas Godolkin in a recurring capacity. Additionally, Sean Patrick Thomas returns as Polarity, now elevated to a series regular for this season.
Here is the official synopsis for Season 2:
In the second season, classes resume at Godolkin University. As America grapples with Homelander’s authoritarian rule, a new Dean at the university introduces a controversial curriculum aimed at enhancing the students’ powers. Heroes Cate and Sam receive accolades, while Marie, Jordan, and Emma return to campus, still haunted by recent traumas and losses. Amidst their academic and social activities, a looming conflict between Humans and Supes threatens both inside and outside the university walls. The group stumbles upon a secretive program that dates back to the university’s founding, which could have far-reaching consequences, especially for Marie who finds herself inexplicably linked to it.
Following the unexpected death of actor Chance Perdomo, Gen V’s executive producer Eric Kripke disclosed last year how the show would address the sudden exit of Andre Anderson. Kripke stated that Anderson’s character would also be killed off early this season, with no plans to recast the role. The storylines have been adjusted in Season 2 to address his absence.
