Gears of War: E-Day Co-Developer People Can Fly Signs New Project With Sony, Codenamed Project Delta

People Can Fly, the creators of Bulletstorm and co-developers of Gears of War: E-Day, have recently inked a contract with Sony Interactive Entertainment to craft a new title, referred to as Project Delta.

According to an announcement by People Can Fly, the deal outlines that Project Delta is a commissioned project. However, specifics about the nature of the game remain undisclosed.

At the moment, People Can Fly is juggling several projects with similar secretive codenames. These include Project Gemini in collaboration with Square Enix—which faced a setback with 30 developers being dismissed last year—Project Echo with Krafton, Project Red possibly also with Sony, and the VR Project Bison, which the studio declared just yesterday as its final venture into virtual reality.

As recently as December, the company decided to halt its ongoing Project Victoria and reduce the scale of another game under development, Project Bifrost. Before these changes, in April, People Can Fly also scrapped Project Dagger, intended as an action-adventure game in partnership with Take-Two Interactive.

Despite these adjustments, People Can Fly is actively developing eight known projects, including the anticipated Gears of War: E-Day, a collaboration with The Coalition. While no release date has been set for Gears of War: E-Day, Project Gemini, under the Square Enix banner, is expected to launch in 2026.
