The band Florist has released a new track titled “Gloom Designs.” This song is the final piece on their upcoming indie-folk album, Jellywish, which follows earlier singles “This Was a Gift” and “Have Heaven.” You can listen to the song below.
Emily Sprague, the group’s leader, described the song in a press release as a significant point in the album’s journey, embodying the core message of Jellywish. She reflects on it as a deep dive into existence, expressing a love for Earth and the persistent kindness within humanity. The song contemplates these themes, imbuing a sense of conclusion yet leaving room for continuity.
The album Jellywish is set to be released on April 4 by Double Double Whammy. Florist will also be touring North America to promote the album, starting in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on May 5, and concluding on May 31 at the Bowery Ballroom in New York. Below are the full tour dates for Florist.
