David Sirland, the leading producer at DICE for Battlefield, responded to inquiries on X/Twitter regarding the readiness of the servers with a hopeful “should be!”
“Of course, that’s the plan,” Sirland stated, adding that the open beta was also useful to measure player interest.

Indeed, the beta did serve its purpose well. Battlefield 6 managed to record the highest number of players in any beta of the franchise, with a staggering 521,079 players concurrently on Steam, which led to long wait times during the open beta in August.
