Ever since the cancellation of Beyonce’s headlining performance at this year’s Coachella was announced earlier last week, fans and the entire music industry has kept at it to find a worthy replacement. While several rumors had already taken over the Internet which cited Rihanna and Chance The Rapper co-headlining the Saturday slot on both weekends, the organizers have now formally announced their third headliner.
In a social media post which surfaced earlier today, Coachella named Lady Gaga as the ‘Lemonade‘ hitmaker’s replacement. Fresh off a surreal halftime show during this year’s Super Bowl, the celebrated singer will secure her position as the Indio-based festival’s first female headliner since since Björk in 2007. With all eyes set to be on the ‘Bad Romance‘ singer this coming April as she joins fellow acts Radiohead and Kendrick Lamar, check out the announcement below.
