One of the well known figures in progressive house scene, Fehrplay, has a new label called Mood Of Mind, and to mark the launch of his mighty imprint he has released a new EP called ‘Skarven’. A cross section between his progressive anthem sound and love for techno, the package is certainly an appealing one amongst what we’ve heard till now this year.
The title track goes full on progressive with a catchy consistent hook that provides for an easy trance vibe. While ‘Fortan’ takes things towards more sinister atmosphere and explodes into an hypnotic anthem that’d smash any dance floor immediately. Wrapping up the three-tracker EP is ‘Sheeta’ that is an ethereal electronica/downtempo number with minimal kick drum and more bassline.
