2016 was a massive year for dance music. From chart topping hits to even bigger music festivals, the year was indeed an unforgettable one.

Now as we’ve entered into 2017, 1001Tracklists have revealed the most played tracks throughout the year. The list is formed on the basis of how many unique DJs played a track within the selected year. Taking the top spot is Promise Land with his hit single ‘X-Press‘, while CID comes in at the second spot with his track ‘No!‘. Oliver Heldens & Throttles‘ collaboration ‘Waiting‘ takes the 3rd spot, while Axwell’sBarricade‘ and Skrillex and MUST DIE‘s ‘VIP’s‘ finish the top 5 positions.
