One of the most reputed names in the Techno circuit, Christian Smith has been around for a long time. Alongside releasing on premium techno outlets like Drumcode, M-nus, Cocoon and Mobilee, he has kept up with his own Tronic imprint. After celebrating its 200th release recently, Smith is about to unleash his third solo album next week, titled “Input/Output“.
With the preview of first single “Initiate Sequence“, the Stockholm-born DJ/producer gives a taste of what this quality collection is going to be like. With standard Techno drums, the groovy baseline carries the track as the monotone vocal sample slowly makes its way in the mix. The dark modulated synths spices up the atmosphere and unleashes the next load of energy and before you know it, it’s the break time, from which the whole thing builds up only to go even harder.
