The Remix Awards is one of the many Awards shows that have happened to have taken place in the past two months or so. Settling amongst the likes of iHeartRadio Music Awards, The Grammys‘, American Music Awards and more, the relatively less-popular show takes place during the Miami Music Week and is run by the Remix Top 30 Countdown radio show. Sean “Hollywood” Hamilton, who is also dubbed as its distinguished founder hopes to help people discover and celebrate the most talented remix producers from all over the world.
The winners of the awards are decided upon by the Remix Top30 Countdown’s nationwide resident DJs and is widely based on two categories: North American radio airplay and best sound production in its individual category. The show took place from March 17-18th and was attended some of the biggest producer/DJs in the industry including the likes of Steve Angello, Armin Van Buuren, Afrojack, Zedd and more.
