Producers of gaming gear, Razer stepped into the music industry with their brand new digital content platform Razer Music to promote music production amongst budding DJs and artists. Boasting of a star-studded roster featuring the likes of deadmau5, Feed Me, Dyro and many more, they have released tutorials coming in from the producer themselves giving out tips and tricks that can prove to be useful for budding artists.
In their latest episode, Razer manage to get an exclusive look at deadmau5‘s newly minted studio and trust me, it looks like a musician’s paradise. Showing off tons of hardware, Joel gives a tour of his ‘master bedroom studio’ which is loaded with MOOGs, modular synths, arps and much much more. So, stop reading and hit play below!
There is a whole more in store for production freaks as Razer Music have also managed to reveal an 11-minute tutorial behind the melodic structure of Joel’s track ‘Imaginary Friends‘. Steve Duda who happens to be a longtime friend of deadmau5 and a collaborator on their BSOD project joins him in the studio to provide his own input on the track. Also, this is the first iteration of the two part project. Watch the tutorial below and stay tuned for part 2! Also, you can check out Razer Music here.
