The 58th Annual Grammy Awards saw the likes of Jack U, Above & Beyond, The Chemical Brothers, Galantis, Caribou, Jamie xx amongst others represent dance music at one of the most prestigious awards in the field of music, indicating the genre’s growing presence all over the world in a much greater capacity.
Skrillex and Diplo made a clean sweep for the dance music category at the awards, winning both the Best Dance Recording and Best Dance/Electronic Album for ‘Where Are Ü Now’ and Skrillex and Diplo Present Jack Ü respectively.
The win was another feather in Skrillex’s cap, as the producer won his 8th Grammy award, making him the most decorated electronic musician in the award show’s history, overtaking Daft Punk, who have six.
