The 43rd American Music Awards saw Diplo and Skrillex‘s hit track “Where Are U Now” with Justin Bieber getting nominated for the Collaboration Of The Year Award. Facing monumental competition against the likes of Taylor Swift with Kendrick Lamar, Rihanna, Kanye West and Paul McCartney, Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth and Bruno Mars with Mark Ronson, they raced past to win the prestigious award. Also, the winners at the AMAs are decided by fan votes which goes on to show how much the genre has grown to become part of mainstream music and beat some of the biggest pop tracks of the year.

Let’s not stop at that. Since the inception of Favorite Electronic Dance Music Artist Award in 2012, AMAs have awarded artists responsible for the biggest dance tracks. Calvin Harris won the crown for the second consecutive year beating fellow artists Zedd and David Guetta.
I won the AMA for Best EDM tonight thank you so much everyone who voted!!! #AMAs
