Skrillex continues to show his love for hip-hop and rap productions. Having already teamed up with The Game and Vic Mensa to deliver singles ‘El Chapo‘ and ‘No Chill‘, his latest effort is a electro heavy collaboration with A$AP Ferg, member of the A$AP Mob and Crystal Caines. A single off the rapper’s upcoming album ‘Always Strive And Prosper‘, ‘Hungry Ham‘ is a dark yet grungy hip-hop tune.
Talking about the track in a recent interview with Stereogum, he shared the details of the collaboration:
“Hungry Ham’ — though electro-leaning, club-friendly, and easily able to traverse a broad range of fans — is all about the block Ferg grew up on. Ferg kicks off his first verse with, ‘Grandma used to call me Mickey Mouse/ But I’m no rat… Seen my niggas’ family members bugging off of the crack/ Your uncle smell like shit like he got garbage in his ass.”
