Following the release of Sick Individuals & Axwell‘s forthcoming collaborative smash ‘I Am’, Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike have joined forces to provide a special ‘versus’ remix alongside fellow stellar talents Wolfpack and Boostedkids. Featuring fluid, synth-rich melodies and soaring bass lines that add to the club-worthiness of the original, it’s backed up by an exclusive feel good video that documents an elderly couple’s bike ride. In the official video which is inspired by their grandchildren’s insistence on playing computer games, they dust off their bikes and head off into the outdoors to celebrate a togetherness that’s echoed by the track’s anthemic, emotionally-charged hook.
For the video, Axtone worked with Genero.tv to fund young filmmakers through an official music video competition. Budding directors were asked to show how ‘I Am’ makes them feel. The winning video, picked by the artists is directed by Matthew Laeng and tells the emotional story of a single mother struggling to cope whilst one of her sons is missing. With over 40 entries in total, the submissions were so strong that additional videos will follow for the I AM remixes.
With Axwell, Sick Individuals & Taylr Renee keen to show off the talents of the many skilled directors who took part, you can now discover all the winning videos made for the remixes from Jacob Plant, Deorro, Nu:Tone and Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike vs Wolfpack & Boosted Kids.
