Argentina seems to be the new Netherlands, in terms of brilliant producers and music makers. Enter Chris Schweizer, A frequent collaborator of Armada Music, Schweizer has broken out of his shell to partner with Captivating Recordings on a two-track EP aptly entitled Phoenix / The Secret.
Both tracks have a near identical melody at the intro, but both trail off in completely different directions. Phoenix has a wonderful, yet heavy synth square breakdown layered over a progressive trance bit. This then builds up to add on a saw sub bass with a complimenting melody to pack that extra bit of punch.
The Secret picks up write after an underplayed intro, to set an explosive mood with a heavy electro bassline. This then breaks down to give beautiful synth chord play, to pick up into a very uplifting and melodic progressive production with hints of piano elements. The Secret is much lighter and more emotional than its counterpart, and compliments Pheonix perfectly.
