Club Space, which has come to be known as an exceedingly popular venue in Miami and known for pretty much never closing its doors, housed Loco Dice on January 4th so that the noted producer/DJ could break his record set a year prior and the renowned artist did just that as he dropped dance floor bomb after dance floor bomb for an astonishing 18 hours and 57 seconds, from 11pm until 8pm the next day.
Now not taking anything away from this remarkable feat, we must also acknowledge that Space is the perfect place to house such marathon sets, especially since something enchanting happens when the roof opens up and you realize that you’ve been immersed in the music for so long that the sun has in fact come out again.
Travis Rogers, Artist Relations at Club Space & The Opium Group, was there to witness the event go down and said, “It was honestly one of the greatest nights of music in a long time”. He also added that, “Not many DJs can keep a room slammed for 18 hours and not many clubs are open for 22 hours either”.
All in all, each of us know it really takes an immense amount of talent to be able to play for that long and to even compose a set that will keep people intrigued for a period of 18 hours. Kudos to Loco Dice for giving us and all his fans across the world yet another reason to believe in his music.
