Axwell /\ Ingrosso faced much backlash from their fans after the release of their latest single, ‘Dreamer‘. The track, which was released in December 2017, featured a whole new radio friendly sound, completely different from the version the duo had debuted at AMF in 2016. However, nearly two months after the release of the original, the Swedes have released a remix package for the single, and Matisse & Sadko‘s reinterpretation is perhaps the closest we’ll get to the progressive house version everyone has been waiting for.
Retaining Trevor Guthrie‘s vocals as they were, the Russian duo give the buildup an atmospherically lush sound, slowly edging towards the breakdown, which unleashes a melodic yet powerful drop with infectious synth hooks, very characteristic of a Matisse & Sadko production.
