Armin van Buuren dropped a major surprise in January with ‘I Need You‘, as the Dutch trance veteran showcased a more pop oriented sound, as compared to his usual trance and big room sounds. 3 months later, and Armin is all set for the release of his brand new EP, ‘This Is A Test/The Train‘.
Returning to his signature big room trance sound for the EP, ‘This Is A Test‘ features frequency sweeps culminating into driving basslines over a steady beat with regurgitating synth hook. ‘The Train’ is an out and out banger, with a big room kick and synths, featuring some rehashed elements from Armin and W&W’s collaboration ‘D# Fat’. Expect both tracks to be regulars in Armin van Buuren’s upcoming sets.
