Having dropped his newest studio album, “W:/2016ALBUM/“, followed by “stuff i used to do” for free earlier this year, deadmau5 has once again treated fans with not one, but two big releases on his label compilation We Are Friends Vol. 6. A collaboration with label regular ATTLAS, ‘Bad at Titles’ though takes a rather diverse jump towards the darker techno side of Joel Zimmerman.
Pounding beats are favoured by repetitive melodic synth pattern in the background and a clever snare from minute before takes lead to the awaited breakdown. A hypnotic synth sequence in the middle breaks out back to the complex techno arrangement to provide a sinister vibe; one that we know of both producers. ‘Bad at Titles’ along with ‘Polaris’ has been released as a part of We Are Friends Vol. 6 compilation and you can get it here.
